The Kapha Body

Hello, earth mama.

Are you curvy, with thick hair, healthy teeth, and supple skin?

Do you have the tendency to retain water or gain weight more easily than others. Do you have a generally smaller appetite, but find such pleasure in eating that you could always find room for one…more...little...bite?

If so, you might have a Kapha body. The earth element makes Kaphas healthy, robust, and strong. Of all three doshas, they're blessed with the "best quality tissues": hair, skin, and teeth, etc.

I like to call Kapha the "earth mamas” of all the doshas: stable, curvy, inviting, and often care-takers of others, like mother-earth, herself.

in balance, kapha has:

  • Strong, sturdy bones and muscles

  • Thick, well-hydrated skin

  • Healthy strong teeth and gums

  • Thick lustrous hair and eyelashes

  • Good fertility and immunity

  • Well-lubricated joints (no pesky popping or cracking for Kapha)

  • Enjoys good food and relaxation

Out of Balance, Kapha becomes:

  • Lethargic or lazy

  • Overweight, tendency to overeat

  • Have slow, heavy digestion

  • Accumulation of fat, water, and toxins in the body

  • Thick coating on tongue

  • Produce excess phlegm, mucus-related conditions such as sinus issues, cough, and ear infections

life events and behaviors that can throw Kapha out of balance include:

  • Sedentary lifestyle and lack of exercise

  • Too much sleep, or sleeping late into the morning

  • Cold, damp weather

  • Snacking between meals

  • Eating dairy, sweets, or highly processed foods

  • Excess alcohol or other sedatives

  • Being uninspired, getting “stuck in a rut” at work or in a relationship

natural strategies to feel your light-and-bright kapha self again include:

  • Stimulate the body and senses using daily self-care practices and energizing essential oils to reactivate the lymphatic system (the body natural sewage system) and gently cleanse.

  • Incorporate heating and detoxifying foods, herbs and teas to reboot slow metabolism and help reach a healthy, ideal weight.

I’m Sarah Teeple, Women’s Integrative Health Practitioner.

Helping women reclaim their best lives by creating vibrant health and happiness is my passion.

After facing my own health crisis—including debilitating anxiety, chronic bloating, constipation, food sensitivities, and fertility struggles—I discovered a way to heal that combines ancient wisdom with modern science.

So, for the past decade I have blended Ayurvedic Medicine(an ancient system of healing) with Functional Medicine(cutting edge science that treats the root causes of health issues, not just the symptoms)

Understanding my unique body type (Ayurvedic Dosha) and getting conclusive scientific data 📊 by taking a comprehensive hormone panel (the DUTCH test) were THE crucial steps to my inner and outer transformation. Now, at 46 years-old, I feel better than ever before - and you can too.

As one of my clients, I will walk you down this holistic path. I'll coach you through my simple but transformational process, step-by-step, for your success.

I've helped hundreds of women with hormonal imbalances, digestive issues, anxiety, and more, so they can live to the fullest! Are you next?

Living in alignment with your dosha is like unlocking your unique health code.

I struggled with Kapha-type weight gain and (constant) nasal allergies and sinus infections. But I found my way back to my ideal weight, and have maintained it easily. I now have awesome energy daily - and no more allergy meds! All using ancient Ayurvedic strategies. No deprivation, strict diets, or daunting workouts. Ayurveda is a breath of fresh air.

You can feel amazing - without resorting to pills, self-deprivation or endless doctor visits. My Beautifully Balanced program combines Functional Medicine with Ayurveda to help women transform their health and lives naturally - in just 3 months. I’d love to support you too.
